The Great Lakes Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers will host the 9th Annual Fly Tying Exposition at the Ingham County Fairgrounds in Mason, Michigan on Saturday, December 6, 2008.

This is our second year as a vendor at the EXPO and we are looking forward to going back. If you are in the neighborhood plan on stopping by and seeing some of our new items in the way of tying tools, vises, materials including brass beads, cones, eyes, krystal flash, hooks, and our specialty - Al-Lure alpaca fiber. Discover the difference! Studio E Outdoors, Ltd. has developed the Al-Lure brand of alpaca fiber for fly tying applications. We provide two varieties of alpaca fiber in the form of dubbing and yarn. s Series dubbing is available in 22 exclusive colors; and yarn materials in 17 colors. This is a high "luster" product that is excellent for streamers, nymphs, and dry flies. H Series dubbing is available in 13 exclusive colors; and yarn materials in 2 colors. This is a hollow fiber is an excellent choice for many dry fly patterns.

Alpaca Fiber Varieties and Uses: The physical composition of alpaca fiber makes it a perfect material for both dry and wet fly applications. With the varied natural and died colors available alpaca fiber can be substituted for many existing materials and give your patterns the high luster and strength that other materials can not duplicate.
